Until recently I thought it was just the AI that was bad but thats not all. The fairy single target heal embrace says it heals at a distance of 30ys but its more like 20ys. This is a HUGE issue. When you run through something like coil where you need every heal firing off with precision, having your fairy move off because of the bad ai and broken distance on the heal can cause a wipe. If my fairy is supposed to have the same range as me why is it moving at all when i can heal everyone in the entire raid from where i stand. This isnt a good mechanic to have at all and clearly is a broken one. Also its not fun to have to spam the fairy heal before any other heal because i cant cast from the fairy while im in the middle of casting despite it having its own GCD. Fix this.

Doesn't the Place & Steady commands help out? Micro manage the pet's location so it hovering near the melee & tanks and issue the special fairy abilities?

I always assumed that the idea of the sch was to have a healer that could heal multiple targets at once, similar to how a shaman works in WoW with its chain heals. You cant do this unless you leave the fairy alone but because the fairy is so stupid and the range is broken it spends more time moving around to try to heal some one who is at "low" hp that by the time it starts to cast the spell they are probably at max HP making it useless.

As for place, its a band-aid solution to a problem that is clearly not ment to be in the game. This is a bug and it needs to be fixed. -

Thats the distance that is our main heal distance too. Which means placing a fairy anywhere shouldnt be an issue at all since if you can reach the target it should be able to as well with out moving around. Since this isnt the case, placing is actually a bad thing if you need the fairy to heal some one who isnt near the placement since the fairy will move forwards to heal that person then move back to the place before casting any other spell that isn't an instant cast.
If this wasnt a bug the fairy cast range would say 20ys rather then 30ys. But it says 30ys. This distance problem is something worthy of a hotfix because it directly decreases the amount a sch can heal. -

the fairy AI is pretty terrible, i usually place it to the side of the boss and move it when the boss moves if i can't sit close. Other than that, i have mouse button 5 (page back) bound to steady and 4 (page forward) bound to the one that improves healing by 20% (forgot name). So i just use rouse, press mouse 4, let it shoot everything then mouse 5 when its done, it only takes less than a second to do both, as order doesn't matter and by the time rouse registers she'll be healing. While its doing all that, i just cast my heals. Best way i found to manage it without wasting time issuing commands..
I do agree, this should have really been fixed by now. We should have right click autocast enable/disable for each spell and proper range. I also think we should be able to issue commands while casting, pretty silly otherwise. If we can't issue commands while casting, we should really have the option to tweak the AI more. As it stands, I only rely on the fairy to top off the dps if they screw up and it's not urgent and for the healing buff and regen. -

Whole pet system needs rework, that's what you get when you don't let people beta test your classes. Pet classes was not ready for release and it's shows. I will stick to SCH but man it's frustrating to play.

The only time I see my fairy move when placing her somewhere is to get in LoS so that it can heal someone around a corner.
Other than that, placing the fairy inbetween you and the tanks is something that I always do, due to the range of Embrace, but also because it gets targeted for AoEs and stops healing if I have to move away from an AoE. In those cases, the limited range of Embrace has never been a problem. -

Just give us 100% control of allow us to macro pet skills. DONE GG TY SE with no effort the problem is solved.
