A LS for the 'older' crowd. (Age 30++ please)

We have a chat channel geared for those aged 30 and up. Currently in a FC? That's OK! Not in FC yet? That's OK! The only criteria for joining is 1) be a little 'older' and 2) hopefully have requisite maturity that accompanies one age. :)

The LS function is intended to 1)help each other and 2) fill out groups/raids without resorting to PuGs.

The Old Folks Sanctuary is coming along nicely. Remember, this is just an LS (chat channel), you can be non-guilded or a member of any FC - no application required. All that is required is be over 30 and give Skeezix a /tell.

I want in so I can join the rest of you old MMO geezers and reminisce about how older games were so much better despite having poor graphics, questionable mechanics, lousy itemization, and nearly non-existent technical support. Unfortunately, the LS admins haven't been around while I've been online...leading me to believe that we probably have conflicting water aerobics and shuffleboard schedules.

Most people in VG have /invite privledges, if you happen across a VG tag in your travels, they should be able get you in the LS. Of course, you can always send me a /tell as that will work too!

Out of curiosity, what would would consider or, how would you define the "requisite level" of maturity? Does it preclude a healthy sense of humor? Not in any way trying to troll or insult, just in my experience persons that speak of maturity feel that any adult humor is "immature".

The geezers have been pretty quiet for me though. Methinks they be napping when I'm online.

The vast majority of the LS is in the FC Vicious Geezers and we primarily communicate via vent. As the LS grows, and people from all FCs' join up - I'm *hoping* it will provide an area to get information, dungeon and/or raid groups. That's the plan anyway. :)

Id like to join this linkshell.. I must be doing something wrong though, I tried to '/tell Skeezix' and it basically told me I was using the command wrong..

Sorry was away for the weekend. Yea, in FF if you want /tell someone it requires first and last name. The other 'trick' I do for quickly searching and determining if someone is on.. go to the social menu and search by first name, just the first few letters should suffice. The query will return anyone who is online with the search string you entered.

Yeah, so far haven't been able to find you online, looked a few times, but last couple of days been working on relic weapon quest and am up to hydra. Ill be on probably in about an hour or so when I get home from work and get the kids to bed. I'm personally not hardcore, but more than casual and am wanting to find some likeminded peeps to run endgame dungeons with to gear up. My FC has kinda been falling apart lately, owner has been afk for 3 weeks with military, alot of lvl 50 members left right before I got to 50, and the rest just kinda play and never talk lol.

Just giving the old folks LS thread some love.

We have many 'older' (age 30+) from many Free Companies in our linkshell. Not guilded? Guilded, but need the occasional sanctuary? Then join up! Give Skeezix Geezer a tell in game or anyone with the Free Company tag "VG" should be able to set you up.
