Odin Crashed Hyperion - Error 1016 upon attempted Log-In

Just on the off-chance anyone with the ability to swap out the hamster running his wheel is trolling the forums.

I really don't think hamsters run these servers. If they did we wouldn't have near the issues we have.

Please Fix you damn broke ass Server SE Kthanks. Oh and stop spawning the lvl 50 fates until you actually do something to prevent them from crashing the fucking server.

Yeah, I"m getting this error as well. Worst thing is, I got locked out while teleporting in Limsa.

Getting errors and being kicked out from the game while zoning is never a good thing... :(

Was in the middle of crafting and boom, crash, and 1016. My first thought was 'Odin crashed the server again?' and yep. They really need to remove the Fate until they can fix it. ~_~;;

And here I thought it was because I had the audacity to attempt to leave an instance.

Just as said above, there is no point spawning the Odin / Behemoth fates until you fix the bandwidth issues. The number of L50 players is rapidly increasing so it will only get worse and constantly crashing the server (at least the zone) should not be feasible.

Odin managed to yet again do a mass whipe with his awesome skills.. the whole server died lol

lol was in dungeon, heard Odin popped. Then silence. After dungeon 90k and now no worlds show up. YAY

So i'm not the one on hyperion who got screwed then. Got a 90k while in a dungeon, try to log back in, character doesn't show, and i see some message saying something like the world doesn't exist or something. I thought i got screwed because the dungeon ended before i could log back in. So not am i cursed to play with crappy people that constantly wipe in dungeons, bringing it to a failure or near failure, but then this.

Well at least i have a character on phoenix as well.

Well, at least I now know why I can't get in! C'mon SE, let's get on this :)

Wait. Odin crashed the whole server? Not just one zone this time? Damn, he must be evolving!

Yup, it was pretty funny, people were lagging in and out, but finally the lag was so much that the zone couldn't take it. So it took the rest of the server with it, it seems.

I thought it was because I had beaten Odin and the game couldn't handle that. Well.. I might have beaten him. I did target him for a few seconds and threw a ruin spell before he disappeared. That probably killed him. He's not used to being spotted.

too bad they dont compensate all players with the odin item... this seems to happen everytime

Course it doesn't help we were having issues building our limit breaks, and i noticed my astral fire and umbral ice wasn't stacking when i hit Odin. It also seemed like his hp wasn't going down, but it doesn't help when it crashes the whole server :(

Well, that just confirmed that SE can, in truth, suck even more than they did during open beta and the week after release. Way to go, Geniuses, now go kill yourselves.

...And now all the NA/EU worlds character lists are not able to be updated. Looooovely....

kinda weird though...I'm sitting next to someone right now on the same server and he is still in dungeon playing so it wasn't EVERYONE on the server... just...most? Its sad cause I finally had a really good group and was well on our way to beating Titan HM >.<

He hit me with a 1016 crit all the way over in uldah...

I don't think it would affect anyone in a duty Aura, because they have shown in the past the duty finder instances are on another server. Soon as they try to go back to the main server, it'll probably give them a 90k error.

Right now it's either giving 1016 or 3070 :S

Y'all should know better than to battle Odin if you know it is gonna crash the server. <kidding> I had 30 mins to kick Hamon's butt so I could go get Monk, but no...

people dont do bahamut or odin due to the crashing.... this time it crashed multiple zones...

doubt compensation will be given but peopel can try via GM ticket.

I doubt ill attend one again until a notice is given that its fixed... so thats 1 less person to lag you :)

Seems to be a Domino effect going on.

Hyperion's Odin > Crash zone > Crash Hyperion > Crash NA/EU Datacenter List > ???

Oh thank goodness I couldn't find the news update or anything so I was wondering if I was the only one.. :(

I got close enough to see someone fighting w/ their chocobo companion :confused: and see his HP was down to like, 35-40 percent.

Thanks for the notice Xetyline, but I'm more worried about the server crash and not being able to log back in due to 1016 and 3070. Guess i'll go play another game for a bit.

Just posting to add that this is also happening to me.

The moment I came out of a Duty Finder dungeon, I got knocked offline, and it hasn't let me log back on since. That was 40 minutes ago.

I was in Limsa Limonsa before I joined Duty Finder, if that matters.

Odin and Behe need to be switched off until they can sort out servers that can handle to pressure, making them fates was a big mistake half the server turns up for them they either crash it, lag the shit out of it or you just cant see him. Was in AK when this happened now getting a mix between 90k, 1017 and 3070

How is it that all of these people can have the simple CORRECT idea....but SE can't seem to until after thousands of people cry hard enough. I've given the benefit of the doubt to SE from the beginning, but this is getting ridiculous. Not mad....just sad.. v_v

Was exiting from Titan when this hit me. If the rest of my group hasn't been affected by this, they probably thought i rage quit...

Got queue #158, went and smoked a cig and came back to 90K :mad: Odin/Behemoth INSTANCE! Herro!? Please let me log back in, I promise I'll leave Odin alone and go back to mining.
