Launcher is black

When i tried to start the launcher today, i couldn't login because the area where you type in your username and password was just black. It didn't load. Everything else loaded execpt for the login area. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

I have the same problem win7 64.
Tried disabling firewall, running in admin mode etc. Nothing I do makes the input fields appear.

I'm experiencing the same thing. The launcher looks completely normal except for where you're supposed to enter your account information which is completely black. Interestingly enough, I'm also running Windows 7 64-bit.

Same thing for me...

Still down for me.

I never got that, but about an hour ago when I got to the character select screen I got the background and exit button, but no character or world select UI. By exiting to the menu and choosing start several times, I finally got my character to show, but the JP world list never loaded. Perhaps they're doing maintenance or having troubles in that data center, which sometimes affects us using the other one.

Same problem for me. Was back for a while but when I hit the login button it disappeared again.

same for me, but earlier in the morning i could login even if it was a bit laggy, then after 1 or 2h the game froze and i got an error, so just shut it off and tried getting back when i was met with this,
after a while i could actually login to the game and get to the character screen, but when i was logging into the game itself i was only met with error 90000.
since that i have only been seeing the same black login. and during the morning when i said it was laggy it was mostly so that the loading screens was much longer than normal. im on windows 8 64 if that helps

That's probably it. The same thing happened to me a couple of hours ago before I logged off for a while and when I returned the blank square appeared. And now the blank square has returned! Like I said, the problem fixed itself but that was apparently a fluke.

I have the exact same problem, anyone know how tofix it yet?

Anyone know a work around or something?

The only thing I've managed so far is to repeatedly start and close the launcher. After many tries (30 or 40?) it finally showed the login window. My friend who has the same problem also succeeded with this after a bunch of tries. Not exactly reliable, but the only way to do it I know of right now.

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further try to discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
