Lemon, Apple, Pumpkin & Cherry Pie - Gilgamesh Bots since BETA?

Seen them in same outfit doing exact tasks, running around together in a line SINCE BETA!!!

How can one person play 4 charecters is this legal?

They are currently parked outside Aetheryte in Hawthorne Hut, Gilgamesh.

With all the bans suprised to see them still actively play dawning their 4 toons with lvl 46 botonay!

It's all because of Titan. people need money to hire a mercenary group to kill Titan so they buy money from RMTs and RMTs using bots to farm gil.

Multiboxing.

He is a multi-boxer. I speak with him all the time.

Multiboxing is not against the ToS and is perfectly legal.

I've seen them a couple of times. As other have said, it is likely a "multiboxer" -- someone who has purchased multiple accounts and plays more than one character simultaneously.

As far as I'm aware, multiboxing is not against the rules, though I'm leaning towards the opinion that is ought to be. The game is designed with the assumption that each player is player gets one character at a time -- be that out in the world leveling/gathering/crafting, or queuing for dungeons and rolling for loot, or in PvP. I don't understand how it's even done -- surely this requires some sort of tool-assisted interface that changes how the player is able to control the game. It's not like he's got four PCs running on four monitors, and four mice/keyboards. Does he have 8 hands, too?

However it's done, I think multiboxing is unsporting, not to mention pretty shady. Clearly, it gives an unfair advantage to one player over another, or he wouldn't be doing it. MMOs should stop tolerating this behaviour, if you ask me.

Hmm, I don't like it, but I don't think it should be against the rules either.

I think that as long as they are not using any third party software/hacks/cheats/macros (outside of game macros) then it should be allowed. Again, I don't like it, but as long as they're not breaking the current rules, I think it should be allowed.

Also, if I'm correct, I think you can run multiple instances of ffxiv on a single machine. Pretty sure my husband did this with both his account and mine logged in at the same time on his pc. (I could be wrong, I have a notoriously bad memory, but I'm 75% certain about the multiple instances of the game.)

Hi my name is Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Pie and I'm a multiboxer. Which means I play multiple characters with NO automation. I am not a bot. I use ingame stuff like /follow and /assist macros and run all four of my Pies on one computer. This is 100% legal and I have done it in multiple games. Some might think its an unfair advantage but controlling four characters is a slower process than playing just one. For example ground AoE is a pain to get out of so I take more damage and sometimes die to being slow. Four characters take 4x the gear/resources as well. I do some dungeons by myself with pld/brd/brd/whm but the endgame stuff is far to hard to multibox in this manner so normally I only go in as brd/brd. If you see me ingame (unless i'm afk at an aethryte) stop and wave and say hi and we'll have a friendly conversation. I prefer if you message Apple Pie first, due to all the rmt whisper spamming I don't pay attention to all four chat boxes equally. I also have a noppo choc mini keyboard with black switches, razer naga mice and a belkin n52te.

I used to stream my multibox but I found that it was simply to hard to interact with the community and play at a decent level all at once. It wasn't fair for someone to ask about something multibox'ish and not get a reply cuz I'm to busy slaying dwagons :(
