This does not matter. You can post what can be done differently and still get knock up side your head over it.
Then the term White Knights goes a flying and yeah. Devs and SE need to care people are quitting and know why so they can
have some neat idea's later on. Maybe some general idea's that'll put lots back in the future.

Between the skill/server/AoE lag and so many accounts getting hacked I just lost all interest. Have fun White Knighting your way through the game OP.

I subbed for one month to see if SE can improve, I would suggest atleast trying one month, the improvements from 1.0 are HUGE :)

I gave them 35 days to impress me. If I get my account back soon I may try 1 month but I doubt it. Tired of spamming AK/CM as endgame.

Hey OP, people also don't care that you don't care if people are subbing or not, some people like to read why others won't keep playing and funnily enough, it can count as feedback to the devs onto what the game may or may not be lacking.

Although there is no need for any of us to beg or convince them to stay, this type of behavior is equally unnecessary. Some things are better left unsaid to be honest and this kind of mentality is NOT the type of community we need to be portrayed as.

People have bought up legitimate reasons as to why they don't want to subscribe, though. You can white knight against it all you want, but the simple fact of the matter is this is people's money we're talking about. If SE is not giving people a compelling reason to continue paying for the game then it is a problem that needs to be addressed.

And that's a huge problem right now: FFXIV is ass-backwards when it comes to content. Even if the 1-49 content is beautiful (and it is), the Level 50 content as it stands now is abysmal. This is 2013, and the "Grind the same three things over and over" model MMO just doesn't fly anymore. FFXIV is a game that works on drawing people in, but does absolutely nothing to retain them.

People keep saying more content is coming; that there's more on the horizon. But the first month or two of an MMO's lifespan is the key timeframe that makes or breaks it. If people don't see anything worthwhile before subscriptions drop, they're going to hit the road. Nobody outside of the most dedicated fans and wikipedia warriors want to continue paying for something that, as it stands, has no depth at endgame.

This is not directed towards you Roric, but you bring up the core of the issue so I'm quoting you.

It's not that people posting about issues that makes them upset/want to quit that's irritating, it's the fact that everyone feels entitled to create a brand new thread about the same old thing over and over again as if their opinion is different from others and somehow deserves more attention that turn this forum into a cesspool of one whine thread after another. Realistically, given the fact that the devs are already aware of all the issues out there (and have described their plan on addressing it), what does creating yet another thread saying "I'm quitting because there aren't enough contents/DF sucks/I can't make money/etc." really do? The reality is that people just want attention. They want to be recognized even if they're just saying the same stuff that someone else already said before.

If you're the dev and you addressed the issue raised by the first person who complained, and then referred the second person to read the response you prepared for the first person, and made sure your responses are easily noticeable for everyone (dev tracker), you sure as heck aren't going to bother with the third and fourth and all the others who continue to whine about the same thing just because they can't be bothered to read or feel like they all deserve a personalized letter from you.

People can hide behind the guise of "providing feedback" all they want, the reality is that the majority of whiners are just entitled children who feel they deserve to stand out and be looked after personally. It ain't gonna happen.
