With upcoming server transfers

just wondering with the upcoming server transfers if they will keep legacy characters with legacy or let them mix which I can see problems with.

Hoping they allow legacy characters to move.
Really, really hoping.

Why would you have a problem with it? Are we some kinda diseased monsters? No really, what's the issue here?

Not being a legacy player myself I would think that the legacy players would stay seperate in regards to their servers. Though I have been seeing posts asking if the same legacy players could transfer to other worlds and exist with the 2.0 players.

Not so much a issue as I am Legacy also but I made a new character on a fresh server and wonder if Legacy characters come over with maxed out crafts how it would effect the economy.

From what I understand is it has more to do with their economy, as a lot of them have a lot of Gil.

I see no reason as to why they wont let legacy players go to other non legacy servers. Its been more than a month since launch and People are running around as high levels already and with high gil amount.

Many of them have full AF2 (which is impossible to have with our cap of 300 a week and amount of time the game has come out), and will easily control the economy.

Pretty sure somewhere in all the documentation before launch it said that server transfers from Legacy servers was going to be no sooner than six months.

I'll try to dig up a citation.

I thought I read it was legacy could move to only legacy for now and non legacy can go anywhere. Could be bs but it sounds right considering we haven't even gotten 2.1 yet. Still seems too soon to mix imo.

No, they will not be letting legacy transfer to non-legacy servers yet.

There will also be a gil cap for how much gil you can transfer with. Thats a number I really want to see.

In all honesty, that gil cap will probably be easily circumvented though, can always just bring shards with you or something.

Where did you find this?

At least for a period of time, legacy players will probably only be able to move to other legacy servers. Everyone else will probably be free to move.

It states here that gil amount will be restricted upon transfer. Sorry for a post of a post but time keeps me from looking for the original. Also, would you rather Legacy players control the market or the RMTs? Pretty obvious I should say.

Thats not ture .!!! we dont have Full af2 ?? AF2 wasnt there in ffxiv 1.0 !!! we were equal on this when arr started !

Having a legacy character with a grand total of 110k but still being treated like I've got millions, that's extremely disappointing news. But thank you nonetheless for sharing the link for confirmation.

Really, I don't get the point of why SE removed a 0 from everyone's legacy characters' gil balances if they're not planning on letting us go to the new servers a month after launch. Really, I don't.

Um there are plenty of no lifers on new servers with many crafts maxed, if anything it would be good for econ.

Not a single person on any server has full AF2. What are you talking about?

Will all servers be open for transfer or will it be restricted to low-pop servers?

It's actually called relic, not AF2 (or AF+1), but this guy is right. it takes about 11 weeks to get the full relic armor set, not counting the hero's accessories or the relic weapon, both of which will add several more weeks on top of that.

As I said on another topic:

I do not pretend to know all about economy management concerns about legacy worlds. I take that. But it's a sick thing that I have to be "limited" by being in a Legacy World. I don't say that it doesn't make sense to have that rule in place but as a paying costumer I want to have the same chances everyone have.

Now I'm lucky I only paid for the first 30 days because I'm seriously considering to freeze my account, not to protest or hoping to achieve something but simply because I'm not enjoying the server I'm playing on.
