2.1 Release Rumors

I keep seeing that 2.1 will likely be in Nov. What is everyone else hearing?

It's most likely November...patches are supposed to be released every 3 months.

Didn't they say "this year" a lot? The only other date was server transfers to be "early October" or something.

This 2.1 patch better be a very good one - not some minor things that no one really ask for. The game is amazing from level 1-50 but endgame right now is borderline tedious and sorely lacking - not in a good way.

Yoshida has never said a release date yet outside of "this year". The Lightning Fate was already datamined before they started talking about 2.1, meaning it is already in the game files and does not require a patch to start(same with the datamined Halloween event). I'd fully expect mid November but at the same time i'm not blind as to what this game needs sooner rather than later so it retains any noteworthy subs which is why if they really care about the game this patch needs to come out in October, the sooner the better.

Yikes! Might want to change the spelling to Yoshida. But yes I know the Lightning Fate won't need to be patched in, just thinking since they got the new fate coming, having the 2.1 patch around the same time would get more press and hopefully more people resubbing or coming back to check them both out at once. Your guess is as good as mine, at least we know it is coming.

Nah, I bet it'll be after this event, early Dec!

Will give players time to complete this event without all the new goodies of 2.1 looming over them as well as purchase and play XIII-III. An for kicks survive Black Friday {week}

Early October is for world transfers. I have only heard 2.1 in November. But maybe that's because everyone assumes 3 months from launch.

The problem with though is it's still in the launch window and if they have learned as much as they say they have through other mmos then they need to understand that many issues need to be addressed early in the games lifespan, especially a lot of the qol issues they have planned to be fixed in 2.1

Also thanks for telling me I butchered Yoshida's name, sorry about that one.

You'll have an extra 3 months or so ontop of 2.1 to come up with that money then because player housing is not till 2.2. Makes perfect sense honestly having the feature there for lowly peons(members) to look at while no one but officers will be able to mess around with the fc housing that is coming in 2.1, perfect sense indeed.

I suppose they are using FCs to break the ground for housing to see if anything needs to be ironed out before releasing housing for every individual player. Since there are less FCs in total than there are players.
