Unable to continue Main Quest story on "Into the Eye of the Storm"

Steps: I am not sure of how the issue occurred, I decided after completing "In Pursuit of the Past" that I would take a break from the main story quest and level by other means, Dungeons and Fates. Once I became level 50 I decided to go back and finish my Main Scenario Quest line, when I went back to New Gridania to continue, Cid is no where to be found, I have searched every zone for a continuation of my Main Scenario quest, alas I am at a brick wall and am unable to continue my story line.

Hey, I think Cid is down on the airship landing in new grid. To get there you have to speak to a npc who will allow you
Access to that area (instead of flying to other cities). Hope that helps
