Original FFXIV owner, bought new FFXIV ARR game but did not get to use the ARR code

So I'm an original FFXIV v1.0 owner and I played for a few then gave up. I threw away the disks.
I pre-ordered FFXIV ARR some months ago and played using my original FFXIV v1.0 account. The 15 day free play for original owners is up and I was not able to use my FFXIV ARR game. I did not realize that original owners would get FFXIV ARR free. So now I have an unused FFXIV ARR game sitting at home and I'd like to use the code that came with it so I can get my free 30 days. I could try selling the FFXIV ARR but I doubt I'd get $20 for it as I already opened it but the code was not used.
Can I at least recoup some of my losses by applying the code to my account or can i get 2 free months since I bought FFXIV ARR while being an original owner?

No SE won't give you anymore time for buying ARR if you are 1.0 player on PC, and package being open does not really matter cause really anyone can download the client and install the game it the Registration code that actually unlocks the game and allows you to play it.
