getting past 2nd lieutenant

how do you get past the 2nd lieutenant of the GC?

You cant get further until next patch im assuming.

With new grand company missions coming with later updates.

When the Grand Companies were first introduced in 1.x, you couldn't advance past Sergeant Third Class. Updates opened up higher ranks, and future updates will open up higher ranks still.

Private 4th class (the rank after recruit) was the highest rank when joining a grand company got possible (1.19)

Dang, you're right (well, mostly. Pvt 3rd class; there is no Pvt 4th class). When I first joined a Grand Company, it was Sgt 3rd class; I forgot I was inactive when Grand Companies were introduced.
