My Epic attempt to get an Ifrit Sword - ongoing -

Decided for funsies I'd post my drops! So far:
1. Grimoire
2. Cane
3. Cane
4. Claw
5. Axe
6. Claw
7. Bow
8. Claw
9. Axe - (Won by me!... lol)
10. Sword - (I rolled a 23.... other tank rolled... an 8!)

Garuda
1. Axe
2. Grimoire
3. Arm

Victory!!!!!

after beating ifrit dozens of times, i finally got my ifrit spear
right after that, i run garuda, then poof, garuda spear lol
never got them before for a whole week

Yeah same here, gave up getting an Ifrit sword, and after finally getting a competent group that could kill Garuda, her sword drops first time...lol

i had ifrit sword and bow over 10 times

took me 19 win to get my claws

rule of thumb: If you want it, it won't drop. Once you do get it, it will drop every time.

1st run tonight, was hoping for WHM drop, and ended up winning SUM book on a greed roll.

I am about to go through this process with my FC and I sure hope we all have better luck than some of these people out there I hear that have run Ifrit well over 60 times and still have not got their weapon. I am crossing my finger and toes for good luck like some of you.

Last night was my 78th ifrit kill. (counting the ones at 1.0 as well). During all those runs I've managed to get Ifrits Bow and Ifrits Claws. 2 out of 78 runs. I have all classes 50 so basically I'd want one weapon for each class. So yeah.. best of luck to you.

Addendum: If you're not on the Job for the weapon you want, it will drop and someone else will win it.

Addendum 2: In the event there are two of you with the same class, you will lose the Need roll.
