Prae run question

So I just did a "speed" prae run, and on first fight with ultima someone yells " no monk no" when I go to attack. All they said to explain when I asked is " you have to wait until first light" then said nothing more when I asked. Only thing I can figure is that they thought I was going to pull aggro from tank?(which is far from true). So I guess my question is what is first light? And why on earth would they have wanted me to waste time standing around?

Probably because there's no real reason to attack him until you can do damage. There's no reason for anyone to spaz out about it though.

Because until UW does it's big flash, it's invulnerable and you can't really do anything to it anyways, except maybe get aggro on yourself - which the tank can't peel off of you - forcing a healer to heal you, aggroing the healer, getting the healer killed, and...well, you know the rest.

Waiting until the "first light" they were talking about was actually NOT standing around doing nothing - it was standing there waiting until tank could hurt it and gain enmity, and preventing a wipe.

UW is invulnerable until then? I had no idea (I've always gone in as healer so Im not watching damage done to it), that would explain why my fairy always ends up tanking though.

As a tank, i spam cure on myself during that phase to build threat, as long as the healer doesnt have to heal anyone it doesnt much matter what anyone else does

While the Ultimative Weapon have its buff on, you cannot dmg it direct, but you can still apply dots on it and dmg it BUT your tank cannot take aggro back, but it doesnt really matter much because it doesnt deal big dmg at that state either, but the point is dont waste any dmg on it while it have its buffs on
