linkshell vault

so something i do for my linkshell is instead of NPCing or selling all my old gear i dedicated a retainer to storing it, in our website i started a gear loan thread.

idea is that members of our linkshell can ask to borrow gear of all ranks to help save them some gill to rank thier crafts or start a new job and have some gear for a bit.

problem with using a retainer is that i cant give the other LS officers access to it so a linkshell vault where officers only have access to it would be useful. especaily for this perpouse it would also give me back my second retainer lol

oppinions?

Any player that can't afford to buy equipment in FFXIV is playing the game hella wrong, and there is no way on Earth I would entrust my gear to my linkshell, that is just asking for fights. (Why him and not me, etc, etc).

Borrowed idea it's bad, since everyone could steal your equip.
A classic guild vault would be enough

Add on a customizable area that only linkshell members can visit and you've got what I would love to see in a public company.

We need ls management options before we need ls banks. If we can't boot troublesome members, why would we want them to have access to high ranked shared gear?

I had a linkshell bank, and well we didn't borrow out gear, but instead we had people donate extra gear they didnt want and I pass it along to people that actually wanted them. For us, its working very good but, for me..... Giving me a headache so I close down shop lol. I wouldnt mind a shell bank and some managment option too like Molly said.

I'm not really on board with shared gear. However I would love a shared LS/Company Vault for gear that people want to donate to lowbies for example, but mailnly I'd just want it for materials. Its such a headache trying to track down different crafters in my LS. I am not a crafter, and not much of a gatherer. However, the mats I do find I like to donate, and a feature like this would just make it easier on me and my crafting buddies. Seperately, I'd also like a LS/Company Bank for hoarding gil and other currencies, as well as Quest/Trophy items for Endgame and what not. It would be controlled only by designated members of course.

could care less about this feature, its something i would never use and would ignore.
