Loot Disappears From Coffers

Just a heads up, if your whole group passes on any loot for any reason within a Duty it will be GONE!

Our group lost the ring of casting off Turn 1 this past week.

I disconnected right as the loot window popped open, everyone else passed for me and by the time I got back in the timer ended.

GM's will NOT restore the item either. So be warned, the loot does not stay inside the coffer.

Reason behind unable to restore is due to the fact from what I was told, when you roll it leaves a "mark" that you did some action for the item. In my case I was unable to roll at all and even though the 7 other members of my duty passed they still will not restore it to me. Even offered to get all 7 of the other duty members to put in tickets to say "I passed the ring for Elvine." But the GM said that wouldn't matter.

I'm waiting for a Senior GM to contact me now, but it's been almost 24 hours after it was "escalated" so I'm beginning to think that the GM never escalated it.

I wouldn't really call it disappearing, it pretty much well and did exactly what anyone would expect it to do if everyone passed on it... hit the floor.

Not calling you dumb or anything, and sorry you lost the item but yah, everyone in zone Passes item > Item drops to floor. Seems like par for the course. I'd say next run just have someone not pass the item if you DC so if you don't make it back at least someone gets it. I've encountered this type of mechanic in every MMO ever. If all available players pass the item it hits the floor like someone threw it on the ground in slowmo

I feel this is a bad way to deal with loot. And if someone accidentally clicks pass? Everyone would usually pass and someone picks it up afterwards. Perhaps I'm spoiled by WoW's loot system, them having a 2 hour window to trade an item to anyone else in the party is a great feature. The way SE does loot right now is pretty horrible, since some gear that jobs could use can't even need on it..

Agreed they need to put in a system such as WoW where loot is tradeable for x period of time after the boss is killed or possibly after you leave Binding Coil of Bahamut.
