How To Controller
My problem is that I'm using an Xbox 360 wireless controller that was built for the PC. Works great solo and it's decent in small groups. But in fates, I kinda want to give the devs a swift kick between the legs. So, after a Fate or two I tried to customize my targeting system. Essentially, what I want is that when I press A, I target an enemy. End of story. I want it as a tab function. So what do I do, I orient my target for enemies only. The problem is that it isn't working. My LB + B? Nope. ABXY? Nope. Worst of all, Carbuncles. However they're spelled. Why in the world is a pet considered NPC-like in which when I first dive into a fate, out of all the enemies I target the Carbuncle.
I played with the targeting system for some time, but none of it works. Either I can't read the internet or I've got a problem I can't fix. I main tanks and healers forever. So precision targeting is a must and at this point I'm thinking keyboard is going to be the only solution. Thanks

Hold down one of the triggers, and press RB. You will only tab between enemies.

keep in mind this was for a ps3 style controller, but if you can figure out the jist of it... it should help... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lof8nKmlTH4
also... using the bumpers(L1 or R1) when holding the triggers switches enemies only.

Make sure you turn off the filter that changes if you draw or sheathe your weapon. It will override manual filters. You also have to manually enable the LB+button filters in the config if you haven't already.
The carbuncle thing is a known issue and will be changed in an upcoming patch. They are considered an enemy by targeting for whatever reason.
