DPS?
AOE?

Retainer?

I just started the game last week so I dont know much about it as yet...

Damage Per Second = ex. gives more damage to kill
Area of Effect = ex. damages mobs on certain area
RMT=piece of low life scums
Free Company = clans/guilds in other MMOs
Retainer = Personal Slaves

DPS = Damage Per Second... the proper term for the role is DD (Damage Dealer) as all classes can put out variant dps.
AOE = Area of Effect... Basically for actions that hit a wide area.
RMT = Real Money Trade/Transaction... A vile practice of selling virtual ingame currency and items for real money.
FC = Free Company... A clan or Guild.
Retainer = Personal servant to store and sell items and store gil. You may have 2 Retainers, 175 inventory slots each.
