How to fix the lvl 1-50 grind for 2nd+ time through
The main storyline is decent by my opinion, enough to get a good review and get players hooked. But like many of you agree the 1-50 grind with the FATEs and such really needs to be fixed.
So ya SQ is going to fix FATEs, great, here's what they also really need: (Sorry I meant Dungeons are being re-balanced versus FATEs, which are staying the same, but dungeons will have more incentives such as bonus gil)
1. Add end-game quests to get really good lower level gear
2. Add optional dungeons every 10 levels or so from 1-50 that require said gear to be grindable, or extremely difficult without it (for first-time players who want a challenge) - the exp/gil drops from these should be good enough that you'd want to both get the gear and use it for leveling for a few levels every 10 levels
This would bring back the awesome feeling we had when we started a new job and had good gear ready (lizzy boots, rings, emperor hairpin, etc) - the 3rd or 4th job is boring, 50% exp isn't enough, just let us grind something moderately challenging please.
They already have some optional dungeons strewn about, make a hard version
