I'm going to assume my computer can't play blu-ray?

I check my device manager and went onto the DVD/CD ROM place and saw Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8B2. So if this can't play blu-ray I can't get the Before Meteor OST because my parents will say "Waste of money" -.- If there is any solution let me know...

The minion is a code that will be on a slip of paper that you can redeem through the Mog Station. Having a pc that can play blu-rays doesn't play into that at all unless you want the mp3 files of the soundtrack.

If you have a PS3 you can set up a local paget to download the MP3 files from the Bluray (trough the PS3) using a PC. So even if you don't have the BD drive you can still get the music using a PS3.

No, I have a Laptop, I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can play blu-ray. If my computer can't play blu-ray then I can't get the OST and can't get the Code which will literally piss me off -.- I have a laptop by the way and if any of you are a genius on Windows 8 give me instructions on how to find out whether or not I can play blu-rays or not. I'm using google too.

Find your laptop model #, google and get the specs for your laptop.

DVD-RAM =/= bluray. So no you can't play Bluray.

Get a job, earn your own money. Spend it instead of your parents'.

If it says DVD you probably can't play BD. Just don't get it.

You cannot play blu-ray. CD, like DVD, like Blu-Ray are all different systems of reading data off a disc. You have a "DVD" player. You're capable of reading CD and DVD cd's. You will need a new blu-ray reading device to play the blu-ray CD.

What Kaizlu was trying to say is that PS3's come equiped with a blu-ray player. If you have a PS3 you can listen to the music and justify your purhcase. If you're just running your DVD player on your Laptop, you're out of luck.
