So i'm not entirely sure whats going on here. I cannot start the BLM quest for reason of not having a level 15 arcanist but thats... not right.. I have an level 18 arcanist.

Guess my question is why isn't this working.
That's because you need 15 Archer, not Arcanist.
ARC = archer, ACN = arcanist.
Oh derp, wait wth you need archer for blm... just what

Well the good news is I think blackmage can use some arcanist spells, so it's not a total loss!
Lol, it's all right. We all make mistakes. :)
And yeah BLM can use Arcanist cross class abilities, so it is still certainly to your benefit to have it levelled anyway!
Well its not like I leveled Arcanist for BLM, since I capped Conjurer first which needs Arcanist. I lost nothing but I gained more grind which blah

Yes they can use ACN spells. Psysick is very nice to have when I'm working on my Hunting Log, or if I need to heal someone tanking a boss in a FATE.
