Setting up a static? Need a party member? Learn to use Search and LFG.

Search comments were very useful in FFXI for recruiting players to do various kinds of content. Perhaps they'll be useful here, too.

GUI version
Editing search info: Right click your name in the Social menu. You can edit your search comment, change your LFG status between several types, etc.

Finding people: Use the Player Search tool and set the various fields. De-select all other classes to search for just one class.


Keyboard commands

Setting your status
1) /searchcomment (Your comment goes here; say what you're looking for)
2) /lfp on

Melding materia?: /ltm on
Other commands: /afk on, /busy on.

Searching
/search (forename, surname, status, class, level, company, location, language)

The manual's example: /sea GLA 20-30 "La Noscea"
- returns all Gladiators in La Noscea in that level range.

Alt example: /sea PLD 50 lookingforparty
- find me a tank.

Relic example: /sea ALC 50
- find me someone to meld my relic.
