Can we have the "cameras" "fixed" in the second boss room of Stone Vigil?

I love a good challenge but the second boss room is just insane....and it's not even the boss that I am concerned about. It's the poor camera mechanics.

Everything is honkey dory fine until the tornadoes pop. Then when I run to avoid them, I get the wall collision camera and I go from 3rd person top view to "right in my face view"

Because the room is so small this happens often and there is only two spots you can squeeze into to make sure you get the view of the room.

As a healer, I need to concentrate on the tank and then the DPS....not run around hoping to god there isn't a tornado sneaking up on me because the camera will not allow me to see it.

You can have the camera view you from the hallway leading to it. I found it pretty easy to view both the boss I'm dpsing and the dragon comes down to use cannon.

right...but then you must move when the tornadoes hit...therefore the position from the hall will change to "up close and personal" because the room is so small you will bound to be near a wall for the camera collision.

Other MMOs I had played gave the dungeons rather large rooms so this would not be an issue...and for the most part in FFXIV this hasn't been an issue...until this one room. Even the others are running into the tornadoes. You can taste the frustration lol

I understand, been there done that but if they made the room bigger, the boss would be a lot easier imo cause tornado dodging is part of the difficulty. :P Anyway, you can try to adjust the camera angle while moving so you don't get up close and in your face camera. Just remember to change it so the camera is always in the hallway.

Ah. You might have the camera set to change when you move. I have that turned off myself. Makes things overall much easier as far as I'm concerned.


You can find the option via Character Configuration > General > Camera Auto-Adjustment. You can set it to adjust either only when moving, always, or Never.

There are two camera options but admittedly I'm not really sure what the second one even is so haven't bothered to mess with it yet
