Repetition of content does not equal content

In threads talking about Primal Droprates, and how long it takes to obtain relic, people are saying "This is an MMO, it's not meant to be won in a week", and that's a good point.

But there's so little to do at any stage in the game. There's only one valid way for most players to get mythologies right now. Farming Ifrit gives them as well, but only 4 (lol, 4) at a time.

Yes, even at "launch", we should have had more ways to obtain myths. I can darn near recite my entire course of play for Amdapor keep, as I'm sure most of you can.

I'm 0/40 on Ifrit, tired of doing him, but still going, and there's no telling when I'm going to get my weapon (something many players have gone through). I appreciate that Ifrit used to be "hard" and that the primal weapons have a special place, but I also know that when it's all there is to do, it stops being fun. I have my Darklight sword from WP, but would much appreciate a weapon that I could actually expect to obtain, or something fun to farm. I'll be pursuing my relic after I flesh out a bit more in Darklight, but even that's just more AK/CM (I don't do CM. SE should be ashamed of CM.) spam.

I'd do Wanderer's Palace more often, since the instance is more enjoyable, and imo, the fights are personally harder, but AK gives better reward, and since you frequently end up with primal weapons and relics in the group, AKs are faster to finish.

Here's what I don't understand - why is anyone wasting this amount of time farming primals for their weapons when they could have easily finished their relic weapon which is better than anything any of the primals drop in the same amount of time?

Now with that out of the way, I don't think there's a single person on the other side of the argument you're bringing forward. SE absolutely needs to add another way to farm Myth tokens, and I strongly suspect that will be in the form of Crystal Tower in 2.1 given its proposed level of difficulty.

I hope there's more ways to farm Mythology in 2.1 rather than Crystal Tower, as the idea of worrying about 23 other people just frightens me, haha.

Primals should drop more mythology, maybe even a little bit of philosophy, and they should have some extra gear thrown into the mix. Jewelry, some armor, etc. Hopefully EXTREME mode primals have different loot tables. Pretty sure no one is looking forward to farming titan garuda and ifrit again for the same weapons they just farmed for(but slightly stronger).

I wish primal's dropped armor or Scraps that crafters could craft into vanity armor. or something worth killing them 50 times (not just for a weapon)
