The Sycamore Leaf archivement kinda of..

so i have been working on this since i unlocked my GC, but then realized , completing this achievement would take 2 years turning in all DoH items everyday.. now i wouldnt mind taking 2 years, since i plan to play ffxiv until I DIE!...lol but the thing is
the reward is very nice earing.... now.... 2 years from now i will be to low and meaningless.


unless im missing something?

As you stated, there's nothing wrong with stretch goals, but for something that is a time-regimented achievement (requires X total turn-ins but you are only allowed to do Y per day) with this long of a stretch, yes, mudflation will gimp the reward by the time anyone gets it.

Having said that, I do expect that SE will improve the stats on this and similar items as new tiers are released, though we may need to remind them.

You can actually top the earring with an HQ Red Coral Earring with two materia on it, so it's not worth it.

not really this would be a earing for my spiritbonding set, idk about you but spirit bonding crafter gear is a pain, having this plus GC bracelets,GC neck gives +3 spirit bond AND a nice CP boost, so its not a trade off item. unless you meld spiritbond materia....oh wait.. you cant ! :p


also an HQ re dcoral earring with 2 materia on it would go for an insane amount of gil taking into account HQ, and materia prices, all that to have like +3 CP more that this earring, yeah i dont think so.

Using that slot for another accessory to convert will get you more desirable materia faster. The SB+ items are kinda bad :/

PS: All materia increases spiritbond rate for the item its bonded to at a MUCH higher rate than the SB+ items. eg a hat with a fire 1 materia melded onto it will bond noticeably faster than a hat with nothing melded.

so materia has a secret + SB stat in it??

Only for the item its melded to but there's enough 'useless' materia that it isn't much of an issue.
