We need alternate ways to farm philo stones..

I don't know about you but running cm, and ak have gotten horrendously boring, Any plans anyone knows of for Square to add in other ways to get the stones? Because doing these same 2 dungeons is the most borign experence I have ever had in a mmorpg, maybe its the fact I am a warrior tank, and we really don't have much to do other than hit 1,2,3 over and over to tank. I'm thinking of trying a diff class, Maybe pld (more stuff to use), or lving whm or bard. But then we get to leveling a second or higher class, and how ungodly boring THAT is. Could have recycled any side quests we did and just remove the equip/allagan pieces from it. I was completly happy doing sidequests and just joining fates I seen as I went along questing. Sadly, lving a 2nd class is pretty boring now, since its pretty much fate after fate after fate, due to leves giving complete trash for exp, and dungeons not really being worth the time either. Any advice besides: "Quit and play another mmo"?

I'm not flaming here (as many threads like yours have already been flamed to the 7th kingdom) but you are focussed on one aspect of the game. A FC member had the same gripe as yourself not long ago. After a brief discussion it turned out he ha over 60 leve allowances, one other job at 15 and that was it.

The game is so much more than a single battle class. Level something that compliments your main.
FATEs as a levelling platform can be boring but you don't have to grind that out for 9 hours straight.
Level a craft (HINT: Use those leves! If you hand in an HQ item you've crafted you recieve a 200% exp boost. Cleared 100k exp in one leve at 45 BSM).
Gathering classes. Get MIN and BOT to 20 at leats. Takes about 2 hours each but that gives you higher ability to farm crystals to sell and make some $$

If however you still insist on playing one aspect of the game then you still haven't experienced the full endgame content in the form of Coil.

ATM sure you need to grind AK 7 times a week and CM over and over to get DL (Which btw crafted melded gear is better than.) if thats how you want to play.

Remember that 2.1 includes the first 2 HM dungeons which will be lower level dungeons with different maps and bosses (more added later), beastmen daily quests, a new dungeon altogether, a new HM primal fight and extreme mode primal fights. Not to mention CT. I'm SURE that all of these will be means to get your stone farming done in an environment other than CM.

That's about 8-10 weeks away with current estimates?!

So yeah, sorry if it seems a bit like a rant it's not intended to be but try a different aspect of the game. (Level weaver and get yourself melded gear thats better than DL and break the trend).

Its only marginally better, and only if its hq'ed and has materia in it, but the cost of the materials makes it a damn pretty big waste of time when dl gear is just as good/will do. Sorry but I am not going to pay like 500k in mats on my server to make an HQ ilvl 70 item(which then costs even more when u factor in materia), when I could just get dl pieces instead and save my cash. Why waste money on stuff that your just gonna rep with the stuff from coil/myths anyway? seems like a major waste of gil.

Also most of the people who flame me are just retarded fanboys anyway, that don't even have a 50 yet and cannot see the problems, we need the philo stone shit addressed now, not in 2+ months. Same with the ilvl req's on dungeons like AK and such and primal fights. So sick of fucking scrubs in af and lv 44 gc weapons in garuda or titan HM, or even AK when they have no business being in those fights/dungeons yet.

I'll be honest if something doesn't change and soon I highly doubt I'll be here when 2.1 hits. I know a bunch of people on the verge of quitting just b ecause of how damn boring the game is once you have a 50. Lving a 2nd class is not even fun since all u do is run from fate to fate, leves are shit for xp for combat classes, and dungeons aren't much better especally with how piss-poor the playerbase is on faerie more often than not.

Instead you are focussing on a SINGLE aspect of a game.

The only Philo stone issue is that people want to play 1 battle class and 1 battle class only. But the real benefits in gameplay come from multiple battle classes and cross class abilities (Blood for Blood on a BRD for example).

If you're sick of "scrubs" in DF then why are you not running HM Primals, AK, Coil with a FC? Since when has PUG been the more acceptable form of endgame?! 44GC weaps etc. are more than enough for CM (Which is the only DF dungeon most people run endgame). Try grouping with people you know in a linkshell and FC or from your server in MD if you want a reliable time in HM's

If the game is not for you then that is fair enough. I'm not a fanboy in the slightest btw I'm seeing certain problems too but they are not the same as yours by any means. If what you want is a spank a single battle class to cap then you're right this game aint for you.

You need to calm down, this game is obviously not Hardcore enough for you. Perhaps find something else? Rush to 50, then complain about end game content? Give me a break.

It's not even that they are complaining about. He/She is actually complaining about CHOOSING to grind out stones as a method of getting endgame gear. There are other ways to get it! (Do both and get half darklight half HQ. It's not hard to HQ once you have a craft at 50 with 50 gear on. BSM 50 all HQ funded by mining crystals for 40 minutes a day while duty finder pops).

let's face it End game is Coil. Until you've cleared that and grown bored you can't complain about "There's no endgame zomgwtf!!!111"

I didn;t rush to 50 either, UI just did main story, side quests, and did any fates in my patj I happened to see, started in early access was 50 4-5 days after the 27th, this is hardly rushing by any means. I dunno, I am lving a diff combat class, got glad 37, pug 15, working on lancer now so when I level bard i'll have blood for blood, 26 thm for swiftcast for acn/cnj. I've dabbled in crafting a bit but doesn't seem worth it, especally when the mats required for the hq ilvl 70 crafted stuff is so stupidly high, namely the philosphy stone mats. I don't think I could make the 1 mil+ gil they want for a hq lv 70 combat class item in the time it'd take me to just get the df chest. That and even with materia stacking its not much better than darklight, and defently not better than the mythic/bahamut coil gear. So why woudl I spend the gil again?

Now you not only have the ability to make your own armour but the ability to make some money if you're so intent on buying mats. That 1mil+ for that item could be yours.....

If you hit 50 4-5 days after launch, I would say you rushed.

This whole thread will be moot about the time 2.1 comes out, if they don't implement it sooner, but in the TGS panel they mentioned a random dungeon feature. If you pick that, you will get tomestones (they didn't say which kind though) for completion.
