This might be a little bit of a mentality from previously playing FFXI but Black Mage got Convert? I'm fairly new to the game, played 1.0 to 30s on MRD and LNC and now I rerolled for ARR with a Tham. Im currently lv29 and I never have Mana issues with the system they have in place. I notice Sylphs use Aero and Enthunder and I assume since these are spells players can use maybe the Red Mage might use em.

There is no RDM Job in this game - it's been constantly requested by players to be implemented but personally, I don't think it ever will be, at least, not like the FFXI version.
Hence the reason why BLM got Convert - RDM is effectively a superfluous Job, as it's role/abilities are effectively taken by other classes/Jobs.
As for spells like Enfire and Haste, at the moment these are enemy-only abilities, as I don't think SE will be making them available to players any time soon (1.0 was like this as well - showing players npcs using fancy special abilities and spells that were never made available to players either, after all, remember Y'shtola's 'bubble shield'? ;) ). -
