Game unplayable, get DC'd as soon as my character appears in-game

In case it's relevant.

Ever since last maintenance I've had occasional 90000 disconnections when it's no problem on my end. As a lot of people have I've tolerated them, but today...my god. You know when you get disconnected, and for a while everything except you is frozen until it recognises it and boots you? This is happening as soon as I appear in-game, every single time. Client loads fine. Log in fine. Hit start on title screen, my character shows up, choose him -> get to loading screen....and then I enter the twilight zone for about 20 seconds before the 90000 message appears. I've tried resetting the console and client multiple times, my router - though I've had no connection troubles on any other devices. I've seen no reports on these boards or the official forum of anything similar.

What's even more frustrating is that when this all started I was in the middle of crafting a very high level HQ item - which I'd just especially bought HQ materials for....and they're all gone :| . Complete waste of gil because I thought I was going to be making it a worthwhile investment. I mean obviously I understand that you lose the materials if you quit mid-craft, because if it's not going the way you hoped you shouldn't be allowed to just try again before finishing the job. But when it's no fault of your own like that.... >_<. I know people could just intentionally DC thinking they can try and re-craft...ugh, I just needed to get that out my system.

Anyway, yeah. Any ideas? :/
I'm currently re-installing the client, see if that makes a difference.
