Blunt Arrow

im having trouble with the timing on blunt arrow to silence spells, can anyone tell me whats the timing on the blunt arrow to successfully interrupt the spells

You might be doing it correctly but you might not be using it on a skill that can be silenced. Not everything used by mobs can be silenced. An example of a skill you can silence is Chimera's Dragon Voice.

You can only silence spells, not skills, and some monsters are unsilenceable.

Generally, everything physical is a skill, and everything magical is a spell.

Useful silenceable things:

Chimera's Dragon Voice
AK trash cultist's summon.
AK first boss Void Lightning III, Mind Blast, Cripple (forgot actual name, its the heavy afflict).
Garuda's Slipstream

Any Titan ability

it is used as an instant interrupt. If you watch for casting animation use it then. Another way (depending on the mob) is to use it while the red aoe circle is up, but that isnt always the best method because some are so fast that by the time you see the circlr and hit your key its already cast. Best method is watch for animation. It makes me miss the "Target readies "spell"" notifications from xi

You can't silence AK trash summons.

It has a chance to be fully resisted, also if others are using silence it gets put on a DR and if its to a certain point is void and doesnt even work. Also for some fights where you have to rely on you to be silencing, you have to make sure you don't get stuck in a long animation. Bloodletter is a perfect example, sometimes it'll eat your whole timeframe to shoot a blunt arrow
