ok i am 50 war now i am not full withe best armor but i have my af - ifrt axe - and HQ lvl 48 acc
and i fight til titan ( hard )
lot party's and solo and do some dungeons and boss like hydra anyway
i play ffxi for long long time and lineage II rift wow GW 1 and 2 and i know something from there
tank = job or class that can TANK <----- anything or any mob cuz it is tank yes?!!
ok here in ffxiv WAR and PLD tanks :) ??!!
way warrior cant tanks the big things ?only in low lvl he is good ???
ok take it of from tanks area and make it STR not (VIT ) so we can play and not ignore from party's in high lvls
and when 2 war be in 1 party from duty finder people leave
so it is easy make war DD job ^^ and keep PLD TANK

Sooo what i think i got out of this was...
Tried to tank Titan HM in bad gear
Make WAR a DPS and have PLD as the only tank class.

I don't see anything wrong with the WAR, yet... Still leveling mine up. WAR may be subpar to a PLD but I think any competent group can make it work.

Granted I'm a PLD and I haven't done Titan or Garuda HM only Ifrit (still looking for sword) and I've done WP/AK/CM/Praetorium.
I can't vouch for War at end game but my limited experience grouping with a War, I enjoy it. I believe that PLD and WAR were ment to compliment each other in groups.
Each has their strengths and weaknesses and I believe each has their role.
What I find discouraging reading posts about WAR on these forums is that people want WAR to be a PLD with an axe. I do agree with most of the end game Warriors that it may need a little tweaking here and there on some abilities but the core of the job is viable and when paired with a PLD makes a great team.

My Warrior is only lvl 30, that's kinda where I halted it since I don't really want to have 2 lvl 50 tank jobs.

My WAR has quite a lot of Darklight but I'm still hesitant about Titan. Because I know I'll be undergeared.

My PLD is 49 but I'd still wait for more Darklight to do it.

I honestly don't see a massive problem with WAR. It's got a bad name because people don't know how to play it properly. IMO PLD is a lot easier. Easier doesn't mean better.
