small suggestions

Please for the love of god do something about the annoying you must be in passive mode to do such and such. Combat is too clicky intensive I dont see why I need to click so many times to use one ability. Also why can't I have the option of changing TAB to target nearest NPC to make it a little bit easier. Mouse over descriptions on map icons would be nice so I dont run all the way to a bag icon to buy from a vendor I have no use for.

what I don't see is why my friend who happens to be in my party can't log out of the game while being on the other end of the world, should I find myself in a battle.

Poor optimization and the other technical step back from XI's systems. It's all serverside, so it's too much data likely needing to be interpreted since to even log out you need to send the request, wait for a response, get a response then it initiates logout, while in battle (even more data being sent about/to you) it likely doesn't like that so it's an auto fail safe.

XIV has actions relating to active and passive mode, it makes sense in the regard you need to be in the appropriate mode.

HOLY COW!!!! did ppl forget that they fixing the battle system? and coming out sometime next month?

Why can't I sprint without going into active -> scrolling through action bar -> selecting Quickstride -> waiting 4321423 seconds for the animation to finish -> going into passive again?

So tedious.

guess so. Also in ffxi you couldn't be attacking something to look at npc markers. Or log out. Honestly you guys seem to forget how games are mostly. They are button mashy games very rare do games have auto attack. Are you guys gonna complain to Mortal Kombat devs that the game is to clicky? They gonna change it cuz of ppl forgetting how games used to be. Where you actually played them vs watchinbg them XD

did you know when you target yourself and click that the action bar comes up? If quick syride is a passive ability like the gathering ones you just have to target youself click the ability and be done.

If the combat was like Mortal Kombat it would be fine, it's all the selecting for targeting that drives people nuts. It should be TAB = target nearest NPC then click ability. The graphics are awesome in this game its just a shame that theres so much tedious combat nonsense to deal with. Also I havent played a MMO that didn't have auto attack so not sure what you mean.
