I am excited to see what happens when subs kick in.

I was one of those 500k people who were at end game in SWTOR with in a month with nothing to do and I remember the melt down the game had. Disclaimer I like this game and will keep playing it. I am genuinely interested in seeing how the game holds up in a month or two from now. PVP I have no idea how it will work but I am excited and I hope it turns out good. Disclaimer I am a pvp player and very excited to see how it is so that's why I used it as a example I enjoy all the other aspects too. Yet it could turn out bad and un playable who knows. Continued end game raids etc.

I hope the game keeps trucking forward in a positive way for everyone but I am also a realist and know that nothing is a sure thing.

Anyone else excited, interested, nervous, whatever the feeling about how the game will do in a month or two.

Ill never understand the way some think about games.
Example a lot of people saying there isn't enough endgame dungeons to run. Okay now say they had three you would still be running the same three over and over to farm for tomes and in the end you will most likely pick the quickest one right? So what does it matter if there's only one? There will be more added down the road and even then the quickest one will be run the most.

I think Square Enix is in for a surprise honestly. They spent all these resources doing server upgrades and they'll become redundant in 2 month's time. The new servers they added as "extreme measures" will become ghost towns and they'll have to do server transfers, lower amount of servers, etc. But even beyond that, it seems like they're expecting everyone who is currently playing the game to be a paying subscriber. In reality it'll probably only be something like half until they add content to endgame.

Don't think this is going f2p anytime soon however.

40-60 bucks a copy, i think they will be ok and maybe they have a bit of overcapacity, we can afford to loose a hundred thousand rushing dps. Wow has a new patch !

Square Enix will pump out content fast enough for the casuals to stay a few more months. At least i hope they will

I probably wont resub for the next month or 2. Havent really played much in the last few days. Most likely GTAs fault but still... there are just too many things they need to add, change, update and too many overlooked problems and horrible workarounds for them.

I'm not subbing because of the rude and hateful community and how there is so little to do endgame.

I personally see it differently, I honestly can't recall any MMO with this amount of end game content on a new (re)launch MMO. It's been out what 3 weeks and some change? We've got, a couple of dungeons, FATEs, Ifrit Hard, Garuda Hard, Titan Hard, relic quest that will face you against Chimera and Hydra, and the cherry on to top it off we have a few turns in the Coil. And that's just combat related end game content. I personally, think that's not a bad little batch for a launch, no?

Currently to get the best gear, you need to keep doing runs for tomes (and the same dungeon for that matter). Tomes to buy the gear, then you do the battles and that's it. Of course you can craft for better gear but still. Once again, I hate to do this... But in WoW, you had multiple dungeons to get multiple sets at Level 60, you could also craft items that were better than dungeon loot. There was so much to do endgame that makes FF 14 look pathetic. Yes, PvP is coming soon but from what I've seen on YouTube, it is just sleep sleep sleep sleep. And it looks pretty boring if I'm being honest.

The fact that so many people have got to level 50 and already have the best gear in the game is a thing that SE shouldn't overlook either. This game has only been out a month or so and already there's crazy people.

These crazy people are also acting like people are "entitled" (I really wish people would wiki that word) because they want to watch story cutscenes.

Partly it's SE fault for catering to this type of people.

Whatever happens, I hope a nice community of Final Fantasy lovers stays and can enjoy the game and the developers get to realize a vision worthy of the name Final Fantasy. The foundations were laid!

Welcome to the world of MMO's.

This game us allready over 200% the expected player base. Even if there us a large group that quits, game will be fine.
