Issues with Achievements

Some achievements I find kind of ridiculous.

In the G.C. Achievements, there is one for completing 5000 supply turn-ins, and another for doing 5000 provisioning turn-ins.

You can turn in a max of 8 supplies per day (1 per DoH), and 3 provisions (1 per DoL).
Presuming you do all of these faithfully every single day, it will take you 625 days to get the supply achievement, and 1667 days to get he provisioning achievenment. That's over 4.5 years at a minimum.

That doesn't seem right to me. I feel this must be an oversight...

Any thoughts on these or other ridiculous achievements?

They expect the game to last at least that long?

Long term achievements in a long term game they expect to last 10 years?
No, it sounds quite reasonable actually. It's called an achievement for a reason, it's not exactly a necessary thing either really.

It's not like they expect all achievements to be attainable within a month. There are some achievements in WoW that can take as long, others are designed as three-years out (getting one of each of a certain item that only drops once a year, of which there are three or so different things to get). This is also why the Luminary crafting achievements are so huge, as it will take so long to get it to get the achievement blue tools.

If you want long time planning, please check also the LeveQuest achievements.

10k Leve for Battlecraft (DoW/DoM), achievement "Region d'Etre"

10k Leve for Fieldcraft (DoL), achievement "Field of Dreams"

10k Leve for Tradecraft (DoH), achievement "Lost in Localization"

Around 1.5K Leve for the 3 Grand company (500 each), achievement "The Turquoise Cannon", "The Ironwood Leaf". "The Silver Scales"

6 Leve per day, that makes 5260 days to complete or little less than 14.5 years.

yeah... I'm usually an achievement hunter but I don't think I'll do it on this one...
