Will there ever be justification on gil/gears made through bot/RMT?
As bots increase in number, even one single day saturates the market with illegal goods and money. Thinking about fair, honest players (for the sake of this let's just say they are not very competitive and trying to monopolize the market) how do they make money? If you were going to say that with the gil influx it will enable newer players to sell their stuff for more money, I'd have to say I disagree cause the gil itself is illegal, and people with cheats are triumphing over those who doesn't.
I understand measures are being taken, but there will be some people who indirectly traded for money from those gil sellers and would definitely not be banned(over like 10 transactions or more). That way the illegal goods come into the economy and will never go away, although the bots can be banned.
That aside, also regarding gears obtained by exploiting a bug which may or may not have existed. (I hear things about chimera, titan, hydra.. Especially Titan, what if some people were asked to pay gil to do that exploit?)
It is not the player's fault that those exploits exist, however it does not seem fair either. I'm not going to lie, I have done about 4-5 speed runs for AK before knowing it was not the intended way. If I did say, 100 runs and have them rolled back I would be sad too. Even if they rolled back the 5 I did I'd be sad, however from the viewpoint of people who got there late or simply didn't know the method, I don't think it's very fair to them.
