BLM stat question

I know Intelligence is the highest priority stat but what is better? Weapon magic damage or Int? Ex> Giantsgall Longstaff vs. Ifrit's Cudgel +shield. Ilvl is higher on Giantsgall and it has a few higher misc. stats (+5 int with my set up). So which is better?

ilvl (weapon damage) is the only thing that matters for your weapon.
