got an Idea...
This just hit me of an additional idea for both money sinking and fun play as well! or making Guildleves more... lively... <3
LTH players for helping out leves!
You know when you get a ridiculous DoH Leves that tells you to deliver -said- items to a very dangerous path?
Why not make a place that you can put up a Task board for escorting you to -said- place for a reward that you put up? :D
-
seems a bit limited, but to expand on the idea, basically some type of ingame player created quest system. The player sets the terms and the server basically takes and holds the reward. People could check these boards looking for jobs to do. when they accept, the offer disappears.
the problem? probably implementation. Theres only a few things the server can check for and an almost infinite amount of things a player could want.
I think the game was created hoping these types of things would happen, but i dont know how easy it would be to implement a formal system for it, and you could probably just shout for it, or use the party search system for this, (if anyone actually used the party search system that is)

This definitely sounds like a very good idea. In theory anyway. Would be great if they were able to implement something like it.

its implemented
/shout someone help plz 50k

If it were to be implemented I see it like this. The crafter initiates it with a NPC and the protector(s) could get bonus SP for mobs killed within a certain radius of the intended camp. It would need say a 20min timer before the bonus wore off (starting from the moment you pass the marker on the map showing you are in the intended area.
Also if the crafter who initiated it dies then the protection quest ends and no warps home, to give incentive to actually get the job done right :D
Upon arrival at the camp they could also receive a small gil reward similar to what you get at the end of a behest.
The only thing I'm still wavering on is getting back. I suppose once the items are turned in the crafter could initiate a return warp to the town they started the Crafter Protection plan from :)
