The small things that ruin this game.

I don't understand why SE hasn't fixed the small things that make this game seem like such a failure.
For example, I'm currently doing the rank 36 bot quest, which requires me to get to a ! point in the middle of about 8 rank 50 agro mobs.

To even get to that point you have to run past a number of rank 50 raptors and birds in a narrow pathway.

Another example is the new NMs often spawn right in the middle of the room for R30 leves. So its really easy to fail or be unable to complete a R30 leve solo if the nm is there.

How hard is it to ensure that High Agro mobs are not in quest or leve areas? It's been half a year and errors like this that could be fixed in minutes not only still exist, but are still being implemented.

So is there a reason SE hasn't touched these? Do they really think new players will enjoy dying 10 times in a row because of poorly placed mobs?

when i heard this and got it myself.. im lucky to have friends and also i hired few people to kill those raptors just for me to do mining on certain places.. @_@

yea.. kind of crappy, but kind of fun too for asking people to help me get rid of the said monster just for me to start mining there.. >_<

i sometime help people that want to finish their DoL quest by securing the place as well <3 love to be a bodyguard sometimes..

Idk.. maybe this is what SE intends for us to do? @_@ tedious i say, but still fun factor for me.. .

i managed to solo it no problem. its just 100s of things. not just those 2. Leves still glitch out and put the yellow cirlce in the wrong place, some quest markers on maps are wrong, mobs spawn on hills which no one can reach,. Just feels like the game is still a beta. especially if you do quests or go to non-popular areas.

another example is today i was doing leves in nanawa and one of the doors would not open at all. didnt just happen to me either, happened to another party member about 20min beforehand.

As annoying as it might be when you try to solo something, doesn't this just encourage teamplay? Everything is already way too easy, so I actually find it a bit refreshing when things aren't.

That isn't little

Stopping while changing gear is little
Stopping while guard drops is little
Stopping while viewing bazaar is little

When Public Beta came out and we could choose the other City-States the Black Shroud was crawling with wolves. We had to band together around Emerald Moss and venture out in groups to slay the beasties so we could do our leves there.

But people complained up a storm and they moved them around a bit. Then I see people clamoring for more challenge and that the world seems too safe. People having rosy-tinted nostalgic memories of sneaking around dangerous zones in FFXI trying to get to Jeuno or whatnot but they've all but pacified most of the paths in the game now.

I think they need to add alot more aggro mobs to the zones, but not like a rank 75 mobs in a lowbie area that will straight one shot you, something to put the fear in you that, but is weak enough you could get away with just a beating as long as it was only one mob on you :)

Once there are more quests and those new encampments I think they should have enough enemies to encourage you to travel with friends for safety.

However for gathering leves, I don't mind aggro mobs in the area but not next to the tree I have to chop that I will be 100% defenseless while doing so :/

I have 2 examples of the "small things" that ruin this game (on the top of my head.

Example 1) After logging into FFXIV you come to the main menu where you click Start and the "A Word to our Players" prompt comes up along with the ungodly loud sheering sound of death. The volume levels on this selection as well as the Square Enix ping before this screen need to change.

Example 2) I can't hold down enter to allot my stat points. Between the stats and elemental resistances I have to hit enter over 300 times if not more because an enter didn't register.

I know it's silly but you know it's annoying. ha

Because everytime SE fixes a minor issue / old little bug people start complaining about LOLPATCHES, "why is SE messing with the music instead of fixing everything", "why they fixed that old rare bug instead of X", "why are they wasting our time with these patches", etc, etc

those scorpions around the Broken Water zone... they're still hard even for r45+ who try to solo leve there

and I still want to say this: "Mongrels are overpowered compare to other mobs at the same rank"

I like to see agros in all the world, also in middle of quest and leves, makes game funnier and challenger, no a game for girls who cry bc mobs with high rank attacks them
