2.1 - no love for crafters?

Future updates? So the big thing for crafters will be added LATER? And still this is housing we are talkin about - vanity items.

So what about combat crafting? They will add Crystal Tower - puggable 24 man raid. Lower then Coil so probably around ilvl 80. Even now crafted gear is barely worth it (only with 9 mats). If they will add more (and better) gear from dungeons without anything for crafters then well the game is dead for me. Sadly cause I really had a blast with my crafters but I don't want to end up as a tool maker :/

im assuming that means for your single house when they release that as FC housing is suppose to be first. Cause it says individual player housing, so they can't still do it for FC housing but not for single player housing cause its not in yet, so its going to be a future update.

So still no official response on any of the issues crafters are bringing up?
Adding more mobs to drop base crafting materials such as fleece?
Reducing the cost of two star tome materials?
Repairing other players equipment?
Raising materia stat caps?
Fixing recipe?
New Recipes?

What about having actual quest lines that take crafters to different camps and give them a few pieces of gear? Seriously, the guild areas look like miniature grind factories because we don't move from a single spot to do anything other than repeatedly make items unless we are delivering an item via leve. The class quests help a little bit, but right now crafting is just the pits.

It's like we got a more indepth system that is meant to encourage full time crafting, yet have nothing in the way of content to keep it going beyond seeing the big shiny end game in the far distance. =(

No, nothing grand for crafters. We'll get to make furniture in 2.1, woopty fkin doo. They are spitting out fluff items like bomb earrings faster than they spit out a response for the crafting issue.

WOW! Awesome! I can't wait for that game...oh wait! The game was advertised many times as a revolution for crafters. And rightfully so! The crafting system is deep and complex. We have standalone classes for crafting!!! However Yoshi said something about demand. Currently (and sadly in 2.1 as it seems) there is none. I came to this game because of crafting that is so different then in other mmo's. I won't pay my sub fee for something that was promised (advertised) and was not delivered :/

It would be nice to see fluff and rp items crafted by crafters instead of everything obtained by everyone so easily. They lose their appeal when every single person has the exact same thing. There are no hard to get recipes or random recipes found as far as I can tell though I am not yet top level in any crafting class.For instance I would have rather have had to save up many stacks of wet bomb ash to get patterns for making swimming costumes instead of just getting them with so little effort. I really love this game but these things are a bit disappointing. I agree with all the points in this thread thus far btw and hopefully they will address these things at some point soon.

Future updates doesn't mean 2.2. They could release it in an update prior to 2.2.
Also note that personal player housing doesn't launch at 2.1, only FC ones. So I would assume furniture crafts come when personal housing comes (in an update between 2.1 and 2.2).

Didn't Yoshi said they consider adding High level recipes from Raid/Dungeon bosses?

hope not,se needs to open their eyes and stop mixing crafting with dungeons! the gear is always mediocore anyway. should not have to do dungeons to get crafting mats/recipies so that we can never make it.. cause its not worth wearing over the dungeon gear ppl are already doing the dungeon for! Good lord.

the only time crafting should have anything to do with dungeons is if that gear is equal if not higher then dungeon acquired gear.

all the gryphonskin armor is...well...completely nonexistant again due to the ludicrous mats needed .......from dungeons lol

crafted gear should be decent and acceptable to dungeon/raid entry but have NOTHING to do with dungeons in aquiring.

Make it realistic, and ppl WILL be geared and ready for dungeons, ppl wont have to complain that players are unprepared. as it stands now ppl jump in cause the 70 green set is utterly foolish to obtain lol and why would anyone craft the gear when dl is 1/4 the cost :mad:
please se, keep crafting needed and useful dont blow it .........again....
