EU player forced to use US server, How often do the closed servers change?

I bought this game 2 days ago and haven't been able to play properly yet because I'm forced to use a US server (massive lag as I'm in EU).

How often do square alter which servers are open for new characters?

honestly, it won't matter.
both the NA and EU servers are located in the same place (Canada)

Oh ok, thanks for the quick response. A little short-sighted of Square there. Oh well I guess I'll try to play through the pain.

ALL Eu/Na Server are Located to Montréal (Canada)

Blame it on their EU and USA Headquarters not wanting to house their own datacenters.

All servers for NA and EU are located in the same place, so technically, both regions share the same servers. It doesn't really matter which you choose.

If you're having lag issues, it's likely your internet connection, cause I have several friends in the EU that have no connection issues at all, and i had asked the community about 3 weeks ago to see if EU Players had bad times do to server location, general consensus was that everyone was fine with pretty much no issues.

And it's not about lags. It's about latence. Simply - delay.

Why do you assume that The people that answered me, and my friends are not level 50? Seriously, wtf is with people acting like levels make a difference in what you do or do not know. What is this, fricking WoW, or CoD, were the delusional think that being level 80, or 10 time prestige makes a difference in knowledge.
