Your GC Chocobo, on ps3 let another player control it when summoned!

I've been playing ff14 since pre-launch and it occured to me today that my wife has played this game almost as much as i have and she loves having the chocobo around.

I thought to myself.. that chocobo doesn't really do what it needs to and stands in stuff.... it needs a player to control it! OMG THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! Can the developers do something on that? you could split screen and everything!

I really doubt that this will happen. It's going to mean a lot of work and extra bandwidth usage. To get and send the commands and locations from another player when it can all be done on the server and then transferred to the player. I think that this is going to be a lot more work than what the payoff will ever justify. It isn't something that really adds anything to the game to help realism, it just adds more load on the servers.
