Cheap Subscription help

I dont need more that 1 character so was just going to buy the cheaper subscription when my free month runs out. I have two characters on my main server but dont want to delete ether of them. If I buy the cheaper subscription will I still be able to play on the server and just make one character inactive on something? Thanks for any help

i think that the cheap version of sub is 1-8 chars (but each one has to be on a seperate server) and the full price one is 1-8 on the same server so unless they offer a transfer *before* your month runs out, you are allready likely to be flagged as the higher option.

i dont know if they have ever considered a 1 character in total, cheap deal sub....*waves at Devs* hey now, thats a good sugestion for those that only want one only...(char i mean)

From what I read on forum, it seems that you can not choose which character is inactivated. It automatically inactivates newer character. So far no idea if you would be able to switch characters.

If you don't want to delete either, maybe it's worth the $0-$2/month to keep them accessible?

But if not, maybe you should call or web chat with customer service and see if they can "deactivate" one. In v1.0, when each extra character was around $1 each per month, you could see characters under an "options list" of your service account, and choose to cancel or activate them individually, without deleting them. Of course the game bills differently now, and that may no longer be possible.

Even with the deactivate route, the character would be completely inaccessible, unless you could transfer to another server and activate it. But that might cost $25, more than a year of keeping both characters active, and even then the two characters would be completely isolated from each other.

When you subscribe for your 30 days you will have both of your characters inactive. The first one you log on with will then become your primary. I don't know how they will go about letting people switch active accounts, but it will probably be limited. (Once a month? maybe?)

My advice is to pay basic subscription and if you still want the entry level price you can subscribe for 180 days and get a discount making the price the exact same as the basic level price.

You can also transfer sometime this week. This would make both accessible, since the entry subscription allows for 1 character per world and up to 8 total. I believe they will make it free to transfer, but they haven't said for sure. I honestly believe they will give everyone a free one time transfer to make up for beginning server issues.

Well, except they will bill all 6 months up front (6x13 = $78).
