Tests on diminishing returns for CCs.

(Part 1 of 4)

Been searching all the whole forum with the keywords "Diminishing returns" and I'm quite surprised not a single post on cc diminishing returns mechanics. So I've took the trouble to bully a few level 40ish mobs. Here you go:

First test for dimishing returns

Test method: Shield bash (Paladin's stun) was the only skill to use on the mob. Pressed Esc after Shield Bash to stop AAs.
1st duration: 6 seconds.
2nd duration: 3 seconds.
3rd duration: 1 second.
4th duration: fully resisted.

Second test for the invisible cc immunity buff on mobs.
----------
Test method: Stopwatch started when the first "fully resisted" appears on a fresh new mob.
Test result: 45 seconds immunity (with no action done on the mob for the whole 45 second duration).

Third test for possible prolonged immunity when cc is applied while the mob has the invisible cc immunity buff.

Test method: Shield bash used in time intervals when the first "fully resisted" appears on a fresh new mob.
10 second: Fully resisted.
20 second: Fully resisted.
30 second: Fully resisted.
40 second: Fully resisted.
45 second: 6 seconds stun.
Test result: The immunity does not prolong even if you apply extra shield bash during the immunity duration.

Fourth test for interaction between different types of CC.

Test method A: Used Spirit's Within (Paladin's silence skill. 30 second cooldown. 1 second silence.) in combination with Shield Bash.
1> Shield Bash: 6 seconds stun.
2> Shield Bash: 3 seconds stun.
3> Spirit's Within: 1 second silence.
4> Shield Bash: 1 second stun.

Test method B: Spirit Within used immediately after Shield Bash is fully resisted.
1> Shield Bash: 6 seconds stun.
2> Shield Bash: 3 seconds stun.
3> Shield Bash: 1 second stun.
4> Shield Bash: Fully resisted.
5> Spirit Within: 1 second silence.

Test method C: Flash (Paladin's blind Spell. 12 second blind. No skill cooldown) was used in combination with Spirits Within and Shield Bash.
1> Shield Bash: 6 seconds stun.
2> Flash: 12 seconds blind.
3> Shield Bash: 3 seconds stun.
4> Flash: 6 seconds blind.
5> Shield Bash: 1 second stun.
6> Flash: 3 seconds blind.
7> Shield Bash: Fully resisted.
8> Flash: Fully resisted.
9> Spirits Within: 1 second silence.

Test result: Different types of CC have their own immunity buff on the mob and will not interact with each other.

Fifth test on Spirit's Within (was actually added afterwards when I noticed something.) (Paladins only)

Test method: Spirits Within used on CD (i.e. every 30 seconds.)
Test result: The silence is 1 second everytime. It is either, there's is no diminishing returns for this skill, which is reasonable since the skill itself has a 30 second skill cooldown, OR, the immunity buff for this skill lasts for 30 seconds only, which can only by proven with 2 Paladins (and which I can't prove, if someone can do it please help). Though my mind tells me it's the former anyway.
