Can't update the launcher.. are there any tricks on how to get around this?

I've uninstalled then reinstalled the launcher but still it won update thus not launching.. so as it stands .. im paying for a game I cant even play.. are there any1 else having this problem?.. I need help on this.. I mean I went on the tech. site for help.. did what they advise but still nothing ><.. something else is going on.. and if all else fails.. even tho I don't want to.. ill might have to go buy the game for Pc ><.. I was playing it 4dayz ago that's the strange part.. HELP!!.. ><
