New FC "The Old Guard" Now Recruiting

Hello there,

The Old Guard is a new FC on Famfrit. We are an FC created by military veterans focused on bringing other active duty/vets/friends/family and even non military people together for a laid back mature FC experience.

Edit - Wooo Level 5 now! FC is going well and we have some great people now!

EDIT - To clarify we are not exclusively military related. We welcome everyone that would make a great fit and part of the team. We also do not "Spam Invite/Random Invite" people...that's just...silly. We like to talk with you first and just make sure your a fit :) We are more concerned with the quality of the FC then just raising our numbers. Quality over quantity.

We are focusing for now on leveling/dungeons/crafting/gathering and eventually end game content/raiding/PVP etc.

Casual players are welcome. We want that here, a place for people to play at their own pace and speed without the fear of getting kicked for not leveling fast enough or whatever. This is final fantasy...enjoy the game and play at your pace.

End game focused players are more then welcome to. We want a mix of both.

I personally love raiding (and have done so for years) and we hope to build a team of others who are interested and intend on raiding with a laid back having fun attitude instead of treating it like a second job. Also, If you have never raided before and have an interest then this is the place.

If PVP turns out good in FF XIV then we will also create events and groups for that as well. Nothing is better then laying the smack down on another player (or receiving it).

Also more people who are into the crafting and gathering aspect of the game. If you want to play the game and just rule the economy then you are more then welcome as well :)

We have an active Vent Server as well.

18+ age requirement for current active duty players and 21+ for everyone else. I don't mind exceptions case by case :)

A respectful environment and 99% drama free (hey if I said 100% Id be lying..it is an MMO :), however seriously, drama will get cut off fast or sent to a private linkshell to discuss)

My husband and I (I'm working on white mage, he's going for paladin) are looking for a good, friendly, group of people to play with. We're fairly casual, but I do enjoy raiding. From the OP it seems like my cup of tea. I prefer Ventrilo more than anything else. I've been in 2 F.C.'s now and none of them would help me progress in the story but I helped out whenever someone else required it. All I was told every time was "GO PUG IT!" pretty much. I don't join groups so I can go play with randoms. :(
