Cannot see certian enemies and combat effects

Heya folks,

For whatever reason, I cannot see certain types of enemies, these include lighting and water elementals(i can see the floating name and HP bars, and they are targetable). I also discovered I cannot see some boss mechanics, such as the tornados that the second dragon boss of the Stone Vigil spawns. Anyone else have these issues found any kind of fix either with the game setting, or PC settings?

I am running the game on PC, windows 8, Radeon card, laptop only about 2 months old.
