Idea for Breeder DoL

I had a brainstorm last night when I couldn't sleep for a Breeder DoL

How to obtain Livestock

Eggs: Obtain eggs from the different Monster types (Vilekin, Beastkin, Scalekin, etc.) by rare item drop.

Hatch the eggs in your Housing Area Farm Incubator (Either a quest item or built by another DoH)

Eggs need to be warmed with burning logs. the higher lvl the logs the less time it will take to hatch.

When the Monster hatches it will take 32 suns (about a day and a half) to mature.

Mature Monsters can be sheared, bloodlet, and even slaughtered for greater amounts of crafting materials then hunting wild monsters yield.

I like :) This would definitely help with the shortage of Diremite Webs and other non-gatherable items. Though I'd rather take care of chocobos than diremites. Depending on how the housing system plays out you could even have a farm on your land with space for your animals.

I don't know how realistic it is that this could happen, but it's a cool idea nonetheless.

I love this idea. It's a brilliant way to address the shortage of some of the crafting materials that are monster drops. This should also be tied in with housing, but if you can't afford a house yet, maybe an NPC that leads you to your own instanced farm?

I'd like to suggest that feeding [from stuff gathered through fishing, mining and botany] them would also increase the yield and chance for HQ items.

this would b a good feature, mayb when house system is released we can have a plot of land outside/behind house to keep certain monsters/animals for produce for cooking etc etc xD id like to see a skinnin DoL feature added aswell would reduce the time farmin materials for leather worker..

It would be a hell of a lot of work to breed to little monsters but it they dropped around 6 items at Adolescence and 12 items at Adulthood it might help balance the Economy a bit

That would be fun! Plus it would be nice to have a source of milk and eggs, beyond npc shops.

I like farmer in which you could either raise livestock or plant your own harvestables. :) But great idea!
