Why solo queue for DPS slot sucks*
Frankly, as a healer, I still agree with him. Leaving an instance should incur a penalty. 15 minutes isn't one.
As a healer there are two reasons I might leave an instance:
1, The tank is no where near geared for the content. (Has to be pretty extremely.. like is still wearing lvl 1 rings.)
2. DPS are either under geared or do not understand how to play properly. (Face pulls mobs, over dps and pulls aggro every fight, not enough dps to kill dps race bosses.)
When a healer leaves an instance there is usually a good reason, and the party they left would not be completing the content in the first place.
I think a better way to balance things out for DPS would be to simply re tune content for 5 man light parties. 3 dps for ever tank and healer.
A huge portion of the game is designed for casual gamers. 15mn of the gaming time for a casual gamer is a lot.
Go ahead and make it 90. I'd still rather bail on an uncoordinated group and do something productive than torture myself. And it does nothing to stop trolls, since they are obviously not looking to do a legit dungeon any time soon.
Make the penalty any longer than 15min and it will further push tanks/healers to avoid the DF and get premade groups which have a higher success rate and no penalty if you drop. This will only further make your waits in line longer, and increase the changes of having bad tank/healer where the run will not be completed as the good ones are taken by the premade groups.
Its been said many times, make friends and join LS/FC to queue with partial parties. as a tank or healer, knowing atleast 2 or 3 of the party members (including themselves) is going to be good or know what they are doing almost ensures a complete run (all dung to 50 you can pull 1 or 1.5 party members through the content easily)
Like how 4/6 of your posts trying to show how the timer is are your own comments on the matter. Honestly depending on how the group is they could even make the timer for leaving an entire day and i'd still leave if the group has no chance of getting something down or fail to listen/care what other people say that could help out. I'm not going to sit in a dungeon for the whole 90-120mins trying to show people how to do a fight when if they don't understand the explanation the first few times it's said then honestly they have no chance doing anything harder than said dungeon.
I've had multiple people in groups that when I try and explain things multiple times all they do is put the blame on other players when they themselves fail at understanding what I've typed out. I'm willing to give people their shot but when the blame game starts being played and that person makes it clear they will not attempt to do better I have better things to do with my time at that point.
Maybe you wouldn't have an hour wait if everyone and their mother was playing DPS?
