Bard gear question, darklight vs crafted with materia

I been gearing up for Titan for a while and I got most of my darklight piece and some Toxotes gear and my stat is:

Accurary -492
Critical Rate - 454
Determination 244

I also noticed my friend are using HQ militia Mitt Gaunlet, HQ Imperial operative choker and HQ Imperial operative wristlet and meld them with savager might materia and say it should be darklight in stat but lost some accuracy. Is there any truth to this? How much accuracy is enough ?

464 is the minimum accuracy you will need for Coil.

What is your vit at? (Hp total with each gear sets your looking at)

my current gear vit is at 316, i will lose like 5 vit and a little dex but get some determination and critical hit rate

Those are iLevel 55, they can never match DL gear.
Beside DL gear has no wasted stat. I would only swap DL pants for Toxotes because toxotes have crit on them which is better than determination.

It's interesting I don't know how i would argue this but I feel like the 5 extra slots on the ilvl55 militia chocker and wristlets end of being more valuable with their potential for +7 vit and 3 other slots...than the ilvl 70 dl which can't be slotted. Of course this isn't even considering the 2 star melds, but then again how often do you ever see lvl 4 materia? Not often, at least for me. So it'd be harder to take full advantage of it..not even considering whatever philo you'd need to actually make it..

Items have capped stat due to their item level. Even if you can put 5 materia , each stat will cap at a predefined amount (most time it will cap just 1 lvl 3 materia). So you can never tweak to your liking.
Check the DoH section for more info. There is a lot of complain about it.

The ilv70 crafted gear gryphonskin is equal to darklight if its HQ, plus having the added bonus of materia slots. Plus you can't compare darklight accessories to imperial accessories, HQ gryphon rings, neck and rose gold accessories are equal to darklight with materia slots also.

not always true.. and not true in this case. Det is a stronger stat point for point then crit even for bards. the ONLY crafted piece of gear worth considering is the gryphon chest piece. When it is made into HQ and stuffed full of crit materia it adds 3-7 crit and 13 det. That is the only piece worth the money everything else is either inferior or too damn costly.
