Question about the 2 main parsers out atm

So, there's the zam one they simply call ffxiv app, and then there's ffxiv log rep.

However, each one reads dps levels in dramatically different ways! The app shows me at around 210 dps, the log rep shows 51.

The log rep seems solid about showing those total damage numbers, but does anyone understand how it reads a persons dps and translates that to show such lower numbers, and if it's more accurate then the other or not?

Also, does anyone understand why the ffxiv app crashes when you try to load it for most people?

AND one other question.. are we not supposed to use apps eventho they don't modify any files within the game itself to read our dps and such?

probly not the place to talk about 3rd party apps, just sayin

If you're a summoner, the difference comes from one of them calculates bio and bio II, the values given from these spells are inexact due to them not having an initial damage hit.
Otherwise, the issue is the fact that other people have to be relatively close by for their information to be read- so not having everyone in your party close to you at all times will throw the results in your favor.

Technically, interacting with the exceutable isn't allowed either, those apps do. So its quite possible that they're not OK. Really, the best course of action would be to wait until the add-on API is released.

ahh... well then! I'll have to stop using those then. don't wanna be banned.
