Odin

So after 15 minutes of 20 level 50's smashing Odin in the face... We managed to reduce him to 1/50th life. I'm guessing he cannot be completed as of now? He was dealing 14,000 damage a hit.

Has anyone fought him yet? What do you think?

The one strategy I think may work would be one or two tanks who can hold agro whole 3-4 BLM's cast manawall (nullifies 2 physical attacks) on the tanks while 20-30 DPS chars straight up focus on damaging.

Just beat him for the first time ever. He was at 90% limit and we finished him. So tense.

Sadly, only got one mantle . . . but he IS killable, even if just barely. What needs to happen is tons of groups LBing at the same time at the end.

He's been killed 3, maybe 4 times on my server. (idk if he was killed when he spawned Wednesday morning or not.)
So far I have the barding, and body from him.

The thing everyone needs to do is save all LBs for when he is down to 5%~ and starts casting Zantetsuken.

Altaneen, you mentioned a specific time you assumed he spawned, did someone you know see that he was up during that time or are you making an inference based on his previous Time of Death? If so, can you share the pattern for his respawn time? I've been trying to find information on this to no avail.

when he just about dead
HE WILL USE Zantetsuken and KILL EVERYONE fighting him

so
when he is down to his Last % on hp
all parties use the DD LB on him at the same time

and he should fall

Just fought him on Ragnarok. Of course as he reaches his last slither of hp, he goes invisible and I just stand there with god knows how many others untill I see alot of "9999" across the screen. Pretty fail implementation of these high level fates. :| Server can't handle that many people in the area, it's so broken.

I mentioned "Wednesday morning" because I know he popped that particular morning due to the worldboss ls talking about him. I just never asked if he died.

His spawn timer is odd, he was spawning a couple hours after 48 hours would pass, but the 2 times before his last pop he spawned a couple hours before 48 instead.

Thanks, he probably has a spawn window to prevent him from always appearing at the same time of the day, curious what the window is though. Something like 46-50 hours would be kind of odd, if it is before or after 48, that's not going to move the pop time very much.

Wait, what?
He drops ONE item for all the people? Or one mantle for each person partecipating?

Anyone have any idea how credit is counted? I tried this on BLM so I could dps even when I couldn't see him, I was able to see him for over 50% of the fight and got in some really decent DPS during that time, including right before Zatetsuken. It was killed just before it went off, but I only got bronze... How does one get gold on a DPS?
