Cutscenes stuttering bad
Hello all. FFxiv runs fine on my pc, I get around 40-60 fps everywhere, even during busy fate fights. But when the game loads cutscenes they look like a slide show. My game shows i'm at 60fps during them, but the cutscene itself looks more like 5 fps.
Is anyone else seeing this problem or know of a fix?
thx

Are you running in windowed or borderless windowed mode?

I've been having the same problem. Game runs perfectly fine on high settings. I've played in both Full Screen and Borderless Full Screen and in both settings the FMV cutscenes stutter badly.

My husband is having the same problem as well and he has a high-end pc. Not exactly sure what was going on there. Could it be new drivers?

I don't know if it will help but I had this problem. I play in borderless window mode and when my taskbar is hidden I get really bad stuttering in the rendered cutscenes, such as the one with Dalamud and Bahamut, but when I press alt to bring up my taskbar and click on it, suddenly all the stuttering is gone.

I play in fullscreen mode, but I have tried window/borderless and still have the same problem. I'm assuming its either a driver problem or if cutscenes are handled by an ingame player (ff7 on the pc had its own player for cutscenes) is having the issue. But it isn't happening for everyone. I play on a 780gtx card, currently using driver 327.?? (released today).

Well here's your problem to the man that posted a screenshot
When you are playing in Windows mode and you maximize the screen, windows every time you put your curser on the bar suddenly registers your game as a BACKGROUND running program.
In game either: Windows Borderless or Fullscreen. See if that helps.
I run a dual monitor so I play in Borderless, but if I set it to "windowed mode" and maximize it, it messes with my FPS.
